In a significant development, Baramulla district in north Kashmir has attained 3rd rank among Aspirational Districts in the country in the National Institution for Transforming India (NITI) Aayog’s Delta rankings for the month of September 2021.

The rankings are considered as a yardstick of incremental progress in the developmental indices including health and nutrition, water resources, agriculture and financial inclusion.

Ranchi and Chatra districts in Jharkhand have secured the 1st and 2nd spots respectively while Wayanad in Kerala and Shrawasti district in UP follow Baramulla in the 4th and 5th spot respectively, NITI Aayog tweeted.

LG Manoj Sinha while reacting to the development congratulated DC Baramulla and his team for “social commitment & responsibility and making determined efforts to uplift lives of people”.
